I have just bought a probook 450 g5 (model 2ub65ea), I have noticed that the keyboard illumination function key is missing; does it mean that my laptop has not a retroilluminated keyboard? Is it normal for that model? Thanks

Your welcome.
Yes I believe it is possible. If we look at the part page for the notebook (2ub65ea)
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?type=PROD&SearchText=2UB66EA
Then we click on "1ME47AV Clickpad w/num kypd SR" we get a list of the keyboards, the first three are with backlight "BL" and the rest are not. I believe you are from Italy and you can see the Italian keyboard in the list is without backlight.

Hope it helps,
David

Hi,
Only select models come with the backlit keyboard whih is an optional when purchasing.
You could replace the keyboard with a backlit one. On page 46 of service manual you can see the various keyboards and figure out the part number of the one you need. Then perform a search online with part number or try HP parts store.
However first check if you have the connector for the backlight on the motherboard. On page 48 of service manual you can see the small cable which is for backlight.

I will check it soon; I was pretty sure that the probook 450 g5 2ub65ea should have the backlit keyboard; is it possible that a notebook with the same product code comes in 2 versions, one with “standard” keyboard and another with the backlit one? Or all 2ub65ea comes without the backlit keyboard?
