Hello @kaholpa3 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I’m really sorry this is happening. Especially since you bought the HP ProBook 440 G11 with your own savings.

STEP 1: Confirm battery health (official way)

You already did this, but do it once more for records:

  1. Press Win + R

  2. Type:

    powercfg /batteryreport
  3. Open the report

  4. Take a photo or screenshot showing:

    • Design Capacity

    • Full Charge Capacity (~45%)

This is your proof.

STEP 2: Run HP Battery Test (for warranty)

  1. Shut down laptop

  2. Power on and immediately press Esc

  3. Press F2 → System Diagnostics

  4. Run Battery Test

If it says:

  • “Weak”

  • “Replace”

  • “Calibration required”

That is MORE than enough for replacement.

STEP 3: Contact HP Support (do NOT delay)

Since you’re in India:

  • Go to HP Support → Contact HP

  • Choose Laptop → Battery issue

  • Tell them clearly:

“My HP ProBook 440 G11 is only a few months old.
Battery drains from 100% to 20% in 30 minutes and charges back to 100% in 5–10 minutes.
Battery report shows only ~45% full charge capacity.

Hope this helps.
