HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

We've got an issue in our organisation with HP G8 laptops (840 G8, 650 G8, 850 G8) and HP E24u G4 monitors.

We connect the laptop & monitors using the USB-c cable provided by HP with the monitor.

When we shut down the monitor, the laptops shutdown (the same way it would if I pressed the power button).

The issue is maybe a feature by the way but,if so, we would like to disable it.

We use a GPO to disable the feature that allow users to shutdown the laptop by pressing the power button but it doesn't work for the monitor power button

It only works with HP laptops, I tried it with my Dell Latitude 5430 and I dont get the issue.

Our laptops use custom Windows 10 Entreprise images running W10 22H2

Our monitors have multiple versions of the firmware but mainly 1.0.3.0. I tried to upgrae it to 1.0.8.0 but it didn't solve the issue.

Thanks in advance !

Quentin
