Hi Guys,
out of a sudden my left Shift Key doesn't work anymore. This seems to be a common HP problem, since there are several threads for this topic. I checked them all and tried to do everything that they mentioned there to fix this issue.
I turned of sticky keys, ran malware software, updated drivers, rolled back to a previous stage before a Windows Update, run the HP analyse tool, typed alt+f5 (which strangely seemed to have helped some people having the same issues), in BIOS I reset to the factory settings, ... absolutely nothing worked :-(((

I was even so desperate to replace the whole keyboard on my HP Probook 470 G5. Even with the new keyboard the left shift key wont work.
If I plug in an external keyboard, or if I try the Screen Keyboard it works, so it definitely must to be a software issue.
I can't believe that a single misfunctioning key turns the whole laptop into garbage.

Now I don't even know what I could try to fix this, apart of a fresh Windows installation, but I even read, that this didn't help eighter in some cases, and that's the last thing I would like to do.

It seems to be a common HP problem, so maybe some HP Expert could help with this annoying problem???

Have a nice day,
Robert
