Hello,
I am looking to upgrade the T1200 graphics card on my HP ZBook Fury 17.3 G8 Mobile Workstation.
I believe for HP Part # M17052-001 I need to change the heatsink, can someone confirm that this is true and what part number I need?
Thanks.

Hello.
Check the Maintenance and Service Guide for your laptop for install instructions and product numbers.
M17052-001 is Nvidia RTX 4000, which requires a different heat sink as you predicted. You need heat sink+fan assembly M75666-001.
The GPU replacement should include Beam Connector replacement - a small compression connector board that you are supposed to replace whenever the GPU is removed or replaced since the installation slightly deforms the board. If the GPU does not come with a new Beam Connector, the old one may work, but it is separate product you can order, M25737-001.
RTX 3000 and above also requires a 200W power supply so you need to replace that one as well. 4SC19AA or 491C7AA. If you are using a Thunderbolt 120W dock, you need to either upgrade to 230W model or connect a separate power supply into your laptop while using the 120W dock.

Thank you for your comments. I had also seen remarks about the power supply needs, so it's useful having those part numbers along with the heatsink information. I also found referenced on reddit a youtube video for replacing G7 parts and found the one for the G8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzS2y44wu9Q
