Hello.
If your laptop was associated with a Microsoft Account and if you have also enabled Find My Device option in Windows, then you can track the laptop at Microsoft website. If the laptop is not connected to internet, or if the operating system was reinstalled, or the laptop was dismantled for part - then you obviously cannot track it. The location data comes from internet service providers and can be quite inaccurate.
Information how this tracking works: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/find-and-lock-a-lost-windows-device-890bf25e-b8b...
In any case I highly recommend reporting the theft to police.
HP business laptops - such as your stolen Probook - contain a 3rd party solution for tracking/wiping/locking the laptop remotely. It's called Absolute Persistence Module which requires a license subscription from Absolute.com as well, which is something you can look into in the future.
