On my HP computer, if I go into the BIOS and set the battery health setting to maximize my battery health (from let HP manage the battery) the battery icon in the system tray then shows the charge as 9%.  This is instead of100%, as it was before.  The battery icon is whited out as opposed to being black as before.  The charge figure does not go higher than 9%.  

 

I don't want to limit charging to 9%.  Of course, the battery has more than 9%.  It's just showing as 9%.  Why is it doing this?   How to fix?
