Product: HP 255 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (78U75AV)

Microphone not working, i'll update the drivers as well i reinstall windows operating system trying windows 10 & Windows 11 but same issue facing in both operating system. maybe it's hardware issue. kindly check and revert back ASAP.

Hello.

 

Perhaps your microphone really has broken down and this is a hardware issue.

 

I recommend taking your laptop to a local HP service partner and let them diagnose the problem and fix it.

 

Note that the audio jack on the side of your laptop does not support standalone microphones - if that is your issue. A headset or some other audio equipment connected into it may disable the internal mic, so test without anything - even an adapter - connected to that audio jack.
