HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock

I recently received a replacement USB-C docking station through HP warranty replacement, but there was no included return shipping label in the box.

I contacted HP support by phone to request a label, was transferred to a team who gave me a different number to contact, then was transferred to 3 separate teams at the new number which finally resulted in the last agent disconnecting my call.

How may I receive a return shipping label in order to send back the broken equipment?

For docks and hubs, usually the return instructions say that you do not need to return the defective part and that you should recycle it on your own following local regulations.

Do you have the return label and return instructions inside the box or sticked to the box ?

If no return label inside or around the box, then you do not need to return the accessory, which is typical for docks/hubs.

As far as I know, docks/hubs do not have return labels as they are not returned. They are accessories.

I do not know about the USB-C G5 dock particularly, but I have seen this with other docks/hubs.

Do you have something in the box (e.g. label) that explicitly tells you to return or NOT to return your old one ?

Fair enough if that's the case.

The main reason behind my question is that in the "part shipped" email I received from HP, they included this portion that put me under the impression that I should look to have the defective equipment returned otherwise I would incur a charge:

"Important – Return procedure
HP, in most cases, requires the return of the good and/or defective parts associated with your CSR event. HP encourages you to return the part within three days of receipt.
Failure to return the part may result in the billing for the cost of the replacement part.

Defective Return Label:
A return shipping label is located in the plastic pouch on the side or bottom of the shipping box. This pouch will also contain the return instructions
Please take all ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) safety precautions when performing any internal intervention on your HP product. If you require assistance with the repair, HP offers part removal and replacement videos for many of its products at http://www.hp.com/go/sml"

So it should be understood that they won't need the part if a return label isn't included with the replacement item?

No, there is no additional labelling included anywhere in the packaging.

Thanks for providing that additional info.
