Product: Elitebook 1040 G4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to connect a Dell monitor to my laptop via the HP USB-C dock G5.  Íts connected via Displayport cables but the laptop does not detect the monitor. The firmware and drivers for the dock have been updated.

Hello,

 

does your monitor have many Displayoutputs ? i.e DisplayPort & HDMI & DVI

If so, you should have a switch button somewhere on your Monitor, from there you can navigate to the right display output.

If this does not work, try another DisplayPort cable or via HDMI
