On my ProBook 6470b, by going in the BIOS options, I protected the second Hard Drive (which I installed in the upgrade second bay, where there was an optical drive) by using Hp's DriveLock technology.
Every time that i turn on my laptop, so, a password is asked: if I move this hard drive (protected by DriveLock) on another computer of another brand (Asus), there is no prompt where to enter a password: this is due to the fact that such hard drive protected by DriveLock is unlockable only on my laptop? What if I will insert this hard drive on another ProBook laptop which supports DriveLock technology? Will it asks for the password? I mean: An HDD protected by DriveLock is unlockable only on HP's computers which supports this technology or only on the computer where DriveLock has been enabled?

Well, I inserted such HDD on another HP's computer (which is provided with the DriveLock technology inside the BIOS) and I have been able to unlock it.
