Hello,

Is it true that in HP255 has a SuperSpeed USB C and it doesn't work with HP USB-C Dock 5G. 
IS there any way to change this?

If this is true i will have to return this product?

Morjens,

 

Your laptop USB ports do not support a feature called Alt Mode DisplayPort - which is a requirement for the HP Dock. You can still use the dock but any display connected to the dock will not work. I recommend returning the dock and replacing it:

 

You will need a USB dock with DisplayLink technology. They are suboptimal for games and hi bandwidth video due to latency and lack of bandwidth, but for office work and browsing the internet and such it is sufficient.

 

HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 is the only current HP dock model that will work with your laptop and is available from most/all HP retailers in Finland and elsewhere. 😉
