Hello,

I have an HP laptop with the following details:

Model: HP EliteBook 830 G8 Notebook PC

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1145G7 @ 2.6GHz

Operating System: Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2

Serial Number: Removed

I am unable to find out which country this product belongs to. When I try to check warranty or support, it asks me to select a country, but I don’t know the correct one.

Could you please help me find the country for this serial number?

Thank you!

Hello Vaibhav_cs,

Thank you for your query,

To find the country of origin for your HP EliteBook 830 G8 Notebook, you can follow these steps:

  1. Check the Product Packaging and Labels: Often, the country of origin is printed on the original packaging, labels, or stickers on the laptop itself. Look for any mention of "Made in" or "Manufactured in" on the box or the back panel of the device.

  2. Purchase Documentation: Refer to your purchase receipt or invoice. Retailers sometimes include information about the manufacturing or shipping origin.

  3. HP Support:

    • Visit the HP Support website and use the model number to retrieve information. The warranty section may also highlight the intended region.
  4. HP Support Assistant:

    • If installed, open the HP Support Assistant on your computer. This tool can provide details about your product, which might include region-specific information.
  5. Contact HP Support: If you're still unable to determine the country of origin, contacting HP Support may help. They can assist with the serial number or product number to provide relevant details.

  6. Consult the User Manual: Some manuals include manufacturing details, including the country of origin, which are sometimes found in the specifications section.

These methods should help you identify the country of origin for your EliteBook 830 G8. If accuracy is critical, such as for warranty or customs purposes, reaching out to HP directly will provide the most definitive answer.
