Hello.

 

Please write in your next reply the laptop model and also the charger type - wattage, connector type (USB or barrel connector).

 

I would recommend turning directly to HP phone support if you just bought it. New laptops have a short DOA period where a new laptop having any problems is replaced with another new laptop, so that you don't start your new HP laptop experience with a repair job.

 

How did you determine the charger is working? Does it charge other laptops or devices?

 

Laptop not charging could be a problem with the laptop, its battery, or with the charger.
