I have a laptop that will not post.

HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook PC

I have tried connecting to an external monitor using the svga connector, Display port connector and the usb-c connector and was not able to get anything to display on the screen.

while booting I have tried the following keys: escape, F9, F10, (windows key)-v and (Windows key) -B.

I have removed the battery and and all external components.  I removed the memory and started getting beep codes so I reinstalled them.

I pulled the NVMe drive and installed linux on it and that did not work.

When it boots up it the power button is lit.  the lower front lights are also lit:  wireless and power and battery flashing.  (Battery is currently removed for troubleshooting.) when I power up it takes about 26 seconds for the internal fan to start spinning on high and that is where it stays.

Is there a HP diagnostic disk I can install or boot into?  If there is a BIOS update that would be great too.
