Hello,
I had already noticed some problems when disabling Intel AMT and the POST behauvior, but now I figure out what's happening.
When you have Intel AMT disabled, and Intel TXT enabled, the POST process seems to go trough some sort of problem, where it takes an unusual amount of time to complete (more than 60 seconds) and during that time the fan speeds at maximum speed, even though I didn't noticed a lot of heat being produced.
I have no need to have Intel TXT enabled, but this seems like a bug, or at least it shouldn't be possible to have TXT enabled with AMT disabled. Looks like something inconsistent is going on and points out to something that need to be fixed by HP. Hopefully in the next BIOS update.
Here is a short video witht the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF3JBCdsvno

recommendation: DO NOT enable TXT... this is an Intel technology that requires specialized software and certificates to use and, for the most part, should not be enable by most users...
Here are specifics on the technology...https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/trusted-execution-technology/tru...
