I have bought a new laptop (hp probook 450 G4) a few days ago and Whenever the battery is 94% or above it show me the message "plugged in not charging" and when It discharge below 94% it start charging. Is this any feature or some problem with the laptop?

Hi @John Dev

Try these steps:

Disconnect AC
Shutdown
Remove battery
Connect AC
Startup
Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).
Shutdown
Disconnect AC
Insert battery
Connect AC
Startup

Hi, Your answer is totally based on false information and I think it is just a copy paste from posts that I have read so many times. For kind you information HP Probook 450 G4 has packed battery inside the cover and we can not remove it.

The other thing is that  I thin it is a default feature of probook see this official link

But I posted this question because I am confuse about this above mentioned link and I want to confirm it from official person.

Thanks for your reply.

As far as I know,  it's working as designed.

Plugged In, Not Charging – Battery charge cycle doesn’t begin until it is discharged below 95%. Once a battery enters a charge cycle, it will always charge fully to 100% before the charge state ceases.

Thanks for your reply. I have study this thing and so many people have mention it. I also read it on hp official page
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02957869

Can you provide me any manual or something solid official that mention this fact?

Working as designed.  Info for HP latest-model notebooks, not just Probook.
