Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi,
my business notebook is a ZBook 15 G4. As I'm travelling more these days (now, that Covid is getting more and more relaxed), I want to use the point stick / trackpoint more. However, I do have some issues, that I can't solve by searching the forum nor googling.
- I'd like to be able to scroll with middle mouse button and moving the cursor on point stick. But even after updating all drivers in Image Assistant, I can't find any option or tool that will allow me to do so.
- After applying a constant force for a very short time, the cursor suddenly starts to slow down and when I release the pointing stick, it even moves in the opposite direction quite much. Now, after researching bit, I found that this behavior is called "drift" and it is quite normal for pointing sticks due to calibration. Usually, people recommend to enhance the time after which should be calibrated (e.g. various seconds instead of only 500 ms). However, I can't find an option in Windows how to do this? The only solutions I find are Linux-related.
Thank you for helping me out. I've recently purchased a new private laptop which has a trackpoint (using it under Linux) and have since become a big fan of the pointing stick. I'd really love to use it for work, as well.
Best regards,
Henrik
