Power Adapter options for ZBook Studio and G2 Dock

HP Recommended
ZBook Studio G5 X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Zbook Studio G5 X360 which comes with a 150 W power charger.

I also have a HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2. As you can understand, this comes with a 120 W power supply.

When I use the HP Dock and connect the fixed cable with Thunderbolt connector to the ZBook, I get the message
"For full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter".

Two questions:

1) Can I use the 150 W power charger which came with the ZBook studio and connect that to the HP Dock (i.s.o. the 120 W charger)? And will that improve performance?

2) Or can I connect the original 150 W power charger to the ZBook studio, while at the same time the 120W charger is connected to the HP Dock? And still use the Thunderbolt connection between HP Dock and ZBook studio?

Thanks,

@Carel3

I believe there are 2 versions of the G2 dock: 120W and  230W.  Please try part on the following link:
