HP Probook 450 G10
Microsoft Windows 11

The new HP Probook 450 G10 came with an AC Adapter with a Type C USB connector. The notebook has two Type C Ports (one is marked as USB and Power port). It also has a round power jack connector. Can the notebook safely be charged through the Type C USB port?

Its specs

        https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/ish_7795886-7795930-16

It has  (2) USB 3.2 Gen 2.0 Type-C ports; 10 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4) ports.

You say it came with  HP Smart 65 W USB Type-C adapter or HP Smart 45 W USB Type-C adapter. You can use any USB-C port to charge your machine.

Regards.

Thank you very much. I was a bit careful to use the USB port as a charging point. Your reply cleared things up. This is something new on HP Notebooks?
