Hi HP Commuunity
When I plug my iPhone into my HP EliteBook 840 G10 with a USB-C cable I get the following warning message:
"USB device might need more power Your PC might not provide enough power to the USB device. Please connect your device to external power, or try using a different PC."
HP explains in the following link that this is working by design: HP EliteBook and ZBook Mobile Workstations PCs - USB-C Ports Cannot Power Two Thunderbolt Devices Si...
BUT, I'm plugging only my iPhone to one USB-C cable and I still get the message.
Moreover, I may plug my laptop for charging using the original supplied HP charger into one USB-C port, so the latter is getting input power, the second available port should normally provide the maximum output power when plugging iPhone to it, but it still shows the warning, and thus cannot provide enough power for fast charging.
Thanks
