Hi @fundoorohit,
Thanks for sharing the details.
It sounds like your MacBook is having trouble connecting to your HP Smart Tank 660/670 series printer, resulting in the printer being paused or disabled. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Restart the Printer and MacBook:
- Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Restart your MacBook to clear any temporary issues or conflicts.
2. Check Printer Connection:
- Make sure the printer is properly connected to your network if using Wi-Fi or to your MacBook if using a USB cable.
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure that both the printer and the MacBook are on the same network.
3. Clear the Printer Queue:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP printer from the list.
- Click "Open Print Queue" and delete or cancel any pending print jobs that might be causing the printer to pause.
4. Reset the Printing System:
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printers list and choose "Reset printing system."
- Confirm by clicking "Reset." This will remove all printers from your list and reset the printing system.
- Re-add the printer by clicking the "+" button, then select your printer from the list and follow the prompts to add it back.
5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to the HP support website and download the latest printer drivers for macOS 14.1.
- Install the driver and restart your MacBook.
- Check if the printer is still paused or disabled.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
