I've got a Omen 16 laptop with 3 external monitors. One is plugged in using the HDMI cord, and the others are plugged in using the 2 micro USBs next to the HDMI ports. (these are my left and right screens) I have intermittent fault with the 2 usb connections. Sometimes all my external monitors work (great!) sometimes the left one does not register, and the right one is fine, sometimes the left one is fine and the right screen doesn't work.
I've been on to Microsoft and its not a windows issue, I've been on to Samsung re my screens and tested my screens using a separate laptop, so its not a screen or cable problem, so it must be my laptop
the mouse will scroll on to the blank screen (left or right depending on which it is at the time) but no desktop is displayed. Its like its there, but just not showing an image.
Sometimes I find a work around by unplugging and plugging them back in, or turning the screens on at "just the right moment" when my omen boots up, but more often than not it's not working and I'm getting tired of turning my laptop off and on several times just to get the screens going.
Is as though the laptop recognised they're there, but doesn't send an image.
I've been on to HP virtual chat (RUBBISH!) and I've done a BIOS recovery, but no change.

Hi @Phil325
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP pc, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
It sounds frustrating to deal with those intermittent issues! Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the problems with your HP Omen 16 laptop and external monitors:
Check Display Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings." Make sure that the monitors are detected correctly and configured properly. Sometimes, the display mode may need to be adjusted (e.g., Duplicate, Extend, or Second Screen Only).
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Go to this website https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers.
or your GPU manufacturer’s site (NVIDIA or AMD) to download the latest drivers.
Try Different USB Ports: If possible, try connecting the monitors to different USB ports to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, certain ports can become unreliable.
Check USB Display Settings: If your monitors are using USB to HDMI adapters, check any associated drivers or settings for those adapters. Ensure they are up to date.
Disable USB Power Management: Go to Device Manager, find your USB controllers, right-click each one, and go to Properties. Under the Power Management tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
Boot with Monitors Connected: Make sure to connect the monitors before turning on the laptop. This can sometimes help the laptop recognize the displays during the boot process.
Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows installation is fully updated. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.
Test with One Monitor at a Time: To isolate the issue, try connecting each external monitor one at a time. This can help you identify if a particular monitor or connection is causing the problem.
Adjust Resolution: Sometimes, the resolution set for the monitors may be too high. Right-click on the desktop, go to Display settings, and lower the resolution for the external monitors to see if that helps.
Firmware Updates: Check if there are firmware updates available for your laptop that might address USB or display issues, Click HERE
Reset Display Settings: Sometimes, resetting the display settings can resolve issues. You can do this by going to Display settings and clicking on "Advanced display settings" to reset or adjust the settings.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
