Hi all,

Firstly I have posted before on this but couldn’t get an answer and am getting desperate.  I am not tech minded so please bear with me. I have two HP laptops I use (I have two jobs and both provide one). These are an Elite book G8 830 and a Pro book 440 G7. I also have two HP e243 docking monitors and a G2 USB C/A universal docking station. Essentially the problem is that I cannot get the dock to find the monitors using display link cables. I have tried all video input settings and nothing works, it just says all display inputs are inactive and the monitors go to sleep.

I have downloaded the latest firmware for the dock and this did nothing. I have also tried using the dock with an hdmi cable to one monitor in turn  and it worked straight away on both. I bought new dp cables in case the original ones I have were faulty but this still didn't work.

The dock is powering my laptop fine and works with one monitor on hdmi fine too. But when I try display link cables the dock just won’t work with the monitors at all. I am all out of ideas so any help would be hugely appreciated!
