installing the 3rd party program appears to be missing significant data in the registry compared to an install that is working on another PC. The other PC is running windows 10 home compared to windows 10 pro
Installation is via a USB stick and using a hard lock hasp.
During the installation a dll file appears not to install

Hello @Steve242
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
What you report is a software issue either with the program you are trying to install or with your operating system (Windows). It has nothing to do with your device (hardware). I am afraid you haven't provided any details on what this software is and where you took it from.
Please, provide details, description of the program, pictures, etc... What the error message is exactly.
I recommend that you re-download this software (if taken from the Internet) and try to re-install it eventually.

Thanks for your reply,
Machine Im using is Zbook running windows10 pro. The software Im trying to install is powercad and I have successfully installed this on several other machines including VM ware running on the Zbook. The software I purchase and was give to me on a usb drive.
When I check the registry very little has been installed compared to aversion running. The pics above show the errors both during installation and trying to run. I have been in contact with the software vendor and it has them stumped also. they have this software running all around the world.

Hello,
I will provide you with some general steps you may follow just in case:
1> Repair Windows sys files
Reference >> https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image
Open your Command Prompt (CMD) with Admin rights.
While your system is ONLINE, try using DISM and SFC tools to repair Windows and check system files
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and when DISM is ready, execute this command
SFC.exe /scannow
Reboot eventually
2> Repair .NET FW
If this application replies on .NET Framework or Visual C++ redistributes,
try to repair them - here is how to do it

3> Do you have some security software (antivirus/firewall/etc) on your machine which may be blocking the installation ?
4> Run this Microsoft troubleshooter -
Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed
