HP Elitebook 820 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The motherboard was switched in one of the laptops here at work and the TPM chip was set to 2.0 7.63,

as the laptop is running Windows 7 64bit, we are having problems enabling bitlocker on a drive and we are suspecting the TPM 2.0 to be the issue.

Is it possible to downgrade the TPM from 2.0 7.63 to 1.2 ?

in the softpaq SP81900 the latest is: TPM20_7.62.3126.0_to_TPM12_6.43.243.0.BIN

which is not what i need.

YOu can use TPM 2.0 with Bitlocker as long as you format the drive as GPT instead of MBR, and add the Microsoft hotfixes required by Microsoft to your image

In any case, yes, the G3 laptops support changing the TPM to 1.2 with the TPM softpaq
