I can't remember the BIOS password for my laptop. This was a super expensive laptop and I need help. Is there a way to reset it?

Welcome to the HP Support Community @BarryStains

For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

Just to note:

Do not try removing the RTC battery.  It will not remove the password, but it will reset the clock - as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC  will cause it to fail.

That would be great if I could get a phone number. Going to that site makes me put in my serial number. It then tells me that I no longer have support. So, basically, I have spend all this $ for a brick and HP will no longer help me even though I have never had to even use support since I purchased the laptop. I will never buy from HP again. EVER! Other companies at least give you an option to call them and pay a one time fee if you are in a bind. I would rather spend a few bucks for help rather than throw away a laptop that cost me almost $900 when I bought it.
