Hi @DYNO69,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To get your HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen set up and working with your new HP computer, follow these steps:

1. Charging the Pen

  1. Ensure Full Charge:
    • Since you’ve already charged the pen fully, make sure it is indeed fully charged. Typically, the pen will have an LED indicator that shows charging status.

2. Turning On the Pen

No Power Button:

  • The MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen does not have a traditional power button. It turns on automatically when you start using it.

Check for Activation:

  • Simply use the pen on your screen or try pressing the buttons. The pen should activate itself when it detects contact with the screen.

3. Pairing the Pen with Your Computer

Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your HP computer. You can check this in Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

Pair the Pen:

  • Open Settings and go to Devices.
  • Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Click Add Bluetooth or other device.
  • Select Bluetooth and wait for your computer to search for available devices.
  • Your pen should appear as an available device. Select it to pair.

4. Install Any Necessary Drivers

Automatic Installation:

  • Windows should automatically install the necessary drivers once the pen is paired. Ensure your Windows is up-to-date to get the latest drivers and updates.

Check HP Support:

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your specific HP computer model to find any additional drivers or software that might be needed for your pen.

5. Testing and Usage

Test the Pen:

  • Open a drawing or note-taking application to test the pen. The tip should allow you to draw or write on the screen.

Use Pen Features:

  • The top button is typically used to select or perform actions.
  • The bottom button is generally used for erasing.
  • Tilt functionality allows for different shading effects in compatible applications.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I RECHARGED THE PEN SO IT WOULD BE FULLY CHARGED. I CHECKED THAT BLUETOOTH WAS ON. BUT WHEN I PUT THE PEN AGAINST THE SCREEN OR TRY TO PRESS ANY BUTTON, NOTHING HAPPENS. NO LIGHT COME ON.

IS THERE SUPPOSED TO LIGHT UP? HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS ACTIVATED?

THEN WHEN I TRIED TO PAIR IT WITH MY COMPUTER, IT DOES NOT FIND IT.

SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PEN.

Please help! I am having the same issue!

My pen has "charged" for well over 3 hours now but no light has come on. I can't get it to pair at all and no lights at all. The pen doesn't react to the screen or my pushing the buttons/holding down the buttons. I don't know what else to do besides send it back. I was told that my laptop came with a stylus and it didn't. I was really disappointed when it didn't come with one. I ordered a HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen but now it doesn't work 😕

I'm really bummed, help!
