Hey, jseo!
Did you find a solution for your problem.
Having the same issues.
Tried hard reset with power, power + mute, power + esc , tried to reset bios - no luck. I even disassembled it and replaced the power connector. I've reinserted memory/ hard drive, bios - still the same problem.
Can't find any info on the web or HP website.
Warranty just expired.
Calling the technicians - just figuring out the problem will cost a $100, and hardware repairs starting at $200. Doesn't worth it.
Better add some extra money and get a new one. And it definitely won't be a HP.

Hey Katrin,
Did not find a solution. I work in IT and I had another tech look at it too. We are 98% sure it is the motherboard. You can try getting a new/ or used pull motherboard on eBay or somewhere but it is a major project to replace on that machine. I would not recommend undertaking it yourself unless you are mechanical and detail oriented. Good luck!
