Product: HP EliteBook 840 G6 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Microsoft Windows Update rolled out BIOS version R70 1.23 for my Elitebook 840 G6 yesterday. Unfortunately, I cannot find any release notes about this version.

Can someone share some information about this version?

Normally BIOS comes out from HP. All you can get

That used to be the case. But since a while, BIOS updates are being distributed via Windows Updates.

 

But up to now, HP released BIOS update more or less at the same time.

Normally is true but I was pushed BIOS version 1.23 via Windows Update and no amount of reboots finishes the install.  Bitlocker is not enabled.  And only version 1.22 is available on the HP website drivers.
