Hi,
Most likely the Hard Drive has a problem.
I would replace the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD and then reinstall the OS on it. This will also give a great boost to the everyday performance of the notebook.
Example
On page 60 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive

Create a USB drive with the OS on it and reinstall
