HP 255 15.6 inch G10 Notebook PC (78U76AV)

Hello HP Support and Community,

I own an HP 255 G10 Notebook with 32 GB of RAM and integrated AMD Radeon Graphics. However, the BIOS limits the dedicated video memory (VRAM) to 512 MB, and I couldn’t find any option to increase this amount.

This limitation prevents certain applications and games from launching or running properly, as they require min. 1–2 GB of dedicated VRAM.

I’ve read that some HP laptop models (e.g., HP EliteBook G10) received BIOS updates that included options such as “Gaming Optimized VRAM”, which allow users to set up to 4 GB of dedicated VRAM (source on Reddit ).

So, my questions are:

  1. Is there a BIOS update planned for the HP 255 G10 that would allow adjusting the dedicated VRAM beyond 512 MB?

  2. If not, is there any hidden BIOS setting or advanced configuration to increase it?

  3. Is it possible to request a beta BIOS version or workaround that allows this adjustment?

I’d greatly appreciate any help or insight from HP staff or community members.

Best regards,
