Reset bios password

Hi 

hi have my my laptop since 6year

i forget the admin bios password i’d like to remove the fingerprint in to another to give to someone else to use it

Do you have an error code?

Yes i try to put password but nothing 

i have 2 account on bios one for user and one for admin 

just i don t remember the  password for admin and i need to deleting the finger print 

no code error

Welcome to the HP Support Community @Marco39 

 

For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

 

Just to note:

 

Do not try removing the RTC battery.  It will not remove the password, but it will reset the clock - as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC  will cause it to fail.
