Product: HP ProBook 440 G6 Notebook PC

SP158009, release date 4/30/2025, BIOS update to 01.32.00, fails to update.  When the service pack is executed, after the "copying" phase the user is prompted to restart the PC.  On restart the preboot authentication prompts for password.  The BIOS ADMIN password is entered and the boot proceeds. At this point the installation fails to execute without any display or prompt, and the machine reboots a second time, prompting again for preboot authentication and then proceeds to boot into Windows.

 

HpFirmwareUpdRec.log from directory c:\SWSetup\SP158009 will be provided on request.
