Some difficulties in getting ssd recognized: just reset bios to default settings and the disk is there.
------------
I have still a problem with second m.2 ssd vanishing. Sometimes under heavy load the second disk is lost. It just isn't there anymore. In that situation no software can detect it and you naturally loose your current work. In some cases removing and reinstalling battery was enough to get it back. But sometimes only bios reset helps.
A new disk is detected only by bios to factory default reset.
My general opinion is that Zbook 15g5 is a rather unreliable thing and docking stations even more that. I regret buying these (second hand). Doing productive work has been more or less difficult. Quite often mouse and keyboard do not get recognized etc. Too complicated/unreliable automatic detections and functions. Old Probook and it's docking station performed without problems many many years and still does.
