Elitebook 820 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

I am looking at an Elitebook which is just about out of hard disk storage. (<1GB left) The user insists that she needs all the data on her machine (cloud is not an option) so I'm faced with either swapping out her current 256GB M.2 drive for a larger drive or add a 2.5in SSD to the available SATA port. Since I had a new Crucial MX200 SSD I tried that but on booting, it's not being piked up. So my question is does this laptop support two hard drives drives or is a case of one or the other?

Hi,

It is one or the other as mentioned on page 37 of the service manual.

I would go with a larger M2 drive and then transfer all the data to the new drive.

Example of drives:

Hope it helps,

David
