Secure Boot certificates paused

I see a warning in the Taskbar:
When I click this warning and scroll down, I see more information:

This is an HP ProBook 470 G5.
If I click the Learn More link it says Microsoft is working with HP to provide updates. Is that actually happening or is it time to buy a new computer?

Thank you for sharing the screenshots and confirming that the system is an HP ProBook 470 G5 Notebook PC.

The warning you are seeing is related to the upcoming Microsoft Secure Boot certificate update. Microsoft and HP are working on updating supported HP systems because the existing Secure Boot certificates are reaching their expiration dates.

I checked the HP document “HP Business PCs - Prepare for new Windows Secure Boot certificates” that you referenced. The ProBook 470 G5 is not currently listed among the supported models for the new Secure Boot certificate update. HP's support page for this model does provide the general Secure Boot information, but that does not mean that this specific model is included in the new certificate deployment.

Before reaching that conclusion, I recommend one step: HP ProBook 470 G5 Notebook PC Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

Please update the BIOS to the latest version available for the HP ProBook 470 G5, then restart the notebook and check Windows Security again.

If the warning remains after the BIOS is fully updated, it would indicate that the ProBook 470 G5 is currently not supported for this particular Secure Boot certificate update.

This warning does not mean that your computer has a hardware failure, and you do not need to replace the computer immediately because of this notification. The concern is specifically related to the Secure Boot certificate transition.

I would also not recommend disabling Secure Boot or manually changing the Secure Boot certificates/keys to try to remove the warning.
