Hello

I guess WOL works correctly if the Operating system is able to set the LAN in a state for which is able to manage WOL.

For sure it works with Windows 10, but with esxi 6.7 , it could be that driver is not able to set the LAN in the correct state.

when WOL works, after shutdown, the LINK LED of RJ45 connector stay on , if you see it off, WOL will not work.

Lately , from a Windos 10 computer I just use a powershell cmdlet : Invoke_wakeONLAN

as alternative you can use Intel AMT instead of WOL.

Intel AMT will work with any OS.

How many PC do you have to Wake ?

bye
