I am trying to setup a HP 17Z CA300 laptop with a HP USB-c Dock G5 to connect to two Philips monitors. The dock connects to the laptop fine but I am unable to get the monitors to connect. Both monitors and cables have been connected (one at a time) to the laptop and they both work. How do I connect them via the dock?

needs a different dock, it is the DisplayLink compatible dock, which by means of software and hardware can use any USB port for imaging. I leave the link where you can consult for these dock notes the model you are interested in and makes a search on the internet

Hi @Deb2761
The USB-C port is not compatible with DisplayPort and does not transmit image for data only.

I have this same issue I have the HP g5 doc provided to me by my work. It's updated to the latest firmware- The issue started when I switched my monitors to two brand new phillips tvs. I have an mac mini plugged into hdmi 1 via hdmi and I have no issues. I have an HP work laptop plugged into hdmi via displayport to hdmi converter (on the dock side). I've also changed out hdmi cables, I've hooked the cables directly to the doc with no change. This started from the very beginning of hooking up these tvs. My windows 10 work laptop is up to date, I've had my IT team check it. I'm looking for a solution to this and the DisplayPort adapter is not causing the issue.

Hi @Badman1217
If the laptop is displayport compatible, make a power reset.

That did not work. When powered on it came up, as soon as I switched from the laptop input back to my apple computer and then back to the laptop it did not display it. Also yes it I s compatible as it has the lighting bolt and I'm plugged into it. The laptop is seeing the displays just the the tvs are not picking up what the laptop is displaying

indicate your model, the lightning bolt on the port indicates that it can be charged, it does not indicate that it is DisplayPort,
