Smart battery charging

Hello,

I recently bought an Hp probook 460 g11 and i want to turn on smart charging- to keep my battery charging to 80%.

I can not find the option anywhere. Can you please help?

Also, if you could tell me what is the best method for maintaing a healthy battery in the long run? Having it on charger at all times, using it unplugged or what?

Deep discharges cause cell wear and tear. So, we have to make sure charge the battery to 50-60% and then power the laptop completely off (not sleep/hibernate) before storing it and ensure the bottom of the laptop and the air vents are always clear (use a desk or a cooling pad.

So your question was Enabling Smart Charging in windows.For your HP ProBook 460 G11, the feature to limit charging to a maximum percentage (like 80%) is typically called "Battery Health Manager" or "Battery Optimizer" by HP.

These settings are usually not found in Windows but are controlled directly within the computer's BIOS/UEFI firmware.
