I have an elitebook 840 g2 with win 10 pro 64 bit
i recently installed an m2 ssd drive and fresh install windows 10 pro. I then found out that soft paq download Managment is not available or supported anymore. So I tried image assistant and found that my model of elitebook with the version of windows I have on it is not supported on image assistant. What should I do? Thanks!

EB 840 G2 supports HP Image Assistant and the below Windows 10 versions:
✓ v1607 (Updated: 2022-01-15 )
✓ v1703 (Updated: 2022-05-07 ) *
✓ v1709 (Updated: 2022-05-12 ) *
✓ v1803 (Updated: 2022-05-12 ) *
✓ v1809 (Updated: 2022-05-12 ) *
✓ v1903 (Updated: 2022-05-09 ) *
✓ v1909 (Updated: 2022-05-07 ) *
✓ v2004 (Updated: 2022-05-07 ) *
Seems that Windows 10 IoT and builds 20H2, 21H1, 21H2, etc are not supported
You can download Windows 10 2004 build using Heidoc tool (download is again from Microsoft servers and is legit)
Install W10 2004 and then run HPIA.
Eventually upgrade to newer Windows 10 build.
But note that HPIA may not run on newer builds.
Not sure about HP Support Assistant
You can also manually update drivers from HP website >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
or via other means >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139
