Good morning everyone. My ZBook 8 G1i 16 B72V1ET PC also has strange behavior after the latest automatic system update: when starting the PC from off, for a moment (just a flash, impossible to read the message) the message "System updates pending. Please keep AC adapter plugged in" appears.

During the update, the PC was connected to the power supply and, after the update, it rebooted correctly. Windows (version 25H2) works correctly and without problems (but it does not run CHKDSK). Could it be a BIOS version issue? Thanks.

Hi,
I manage several HP Elitebook 8 G1i devices and yesterday it happened to one of our devices.
Since we use automatic imaging, I could verify it was after the step where Bios settings were written.
Seems to be an Bios related issue and several restarts and also a Bios reset did not solve the problem.
What actually solved the issue was a downgrade of the Bios to a lower version and the message was gone.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply, Thomas. I understand that it's not a serious problem and that it can certainly be fixed with a new BIOS update. In fact, the PC is working perfectly without any problems.

Hello Thomas,

My HP Device is impacted by the same issue. My device model is "HP ZBook 8 G1i 14inch". I believe this is a product issue. Hope HP can fix it in next BIOS updates.webwxgetmsgimg.jfif

Cheers.
