I'm frustrated to no end. I had an HP officejet printer that canceled printing. I reached out to tech support and suddenly was thrust into a five hour tech situation with a gentleman from India trying to convince me to buy Azure Network hacking software at $299.99 a year (I have my credit card and banking companies on alert just in case he tries to charge me). He told me my printer was not under warranty and to buy a second printer.
Fast forward--new printer arrived on Tuesday, July 30th--new HP OfficeJet 8015 e arrives. I set it up but it will not connect to HP Smart instant ink account. No matter what; I was again on tech support for hours troubleshooting, rebooting multiple times, trying different wifi connections. Nothing IS RESOLVED. I have put through at least 3 claims which get closed 12 hours after they're opened.
Right now, I'm stuck in instant ink for the other printer (the one under warranty) and I can't get the new one set up for instant ink. IF HP doesn't resolve this situation (without me losing 10 hours of time),
Any tips on how to resolve this without dying on HP tech support (or get this escalated up the chain?).

Comments / Fraud Check / Request for Review
I don't know where you landed or with whom you were communicating.
There is a very high probability that you were never (not once) speaking with anyone from HP.
RED Flag
HP would not hand you off to to scammer who wants to sell you anti-hacking software.
NOT.
HP Support does not sell printers.
Not sure about next steps - from the outside looking in, it might be a mess.
If you are happy to have a second printer,
If the printer was actually a sealed-new-in-box and you want it on your network,
And
If you want for any reason to move the Instant Ink Subscription from one printer to another, you can do that.
