Thunderbolt G2 Cable Extension

Hello, Elitebook x360 1040 G7 hooked to an HP Thunderbolt G2 dock.  I need a way to extend that Thunderbolt cable that goes to the dock by about 3ft.  Trouble is, not sure which ones on Amazon will do that and still support all the data and speeds of the G2 dock?  Many that I come across on Amazon say in the description that they do not work with thunderbolt docking stations for some reason.

System will send data in serial mode therefore in theory it should work but as you know, even with a speed of light it still has to take time to send - knowledge - confirm - .....  therefore it is slowing down. Some other information

I have not tested  Thunderbolt™ 3 cables (and I don't have tool to test now) but I tested optical cables with distance around 90km the delay is big (I'm talking about msec here) even we had few repeaters in between). 3ft is to long perhaps. We need a good cable.

What is a good cable ?  Sorry I don't know, I Googled this but nothing comes up.
