HP ENVY Laptop 13-ba1000 (1F4E3AV)

HP Envy Laptop 13-ba1000. It comes with a thunderbolt port that I have plugged into my Dell docking station that I use for dual monitors. The docking station also charges the laptop. Every once in a while I'll get a message that says we suggest you use the power cord that came with the product. My question is can I have the standard power cord plugged in and the thunderbolt cable? There is no place on the docking station that disables charging. Either the docking station is on or it's off.

The thunderbolt docking station is a Dell WD19S  If I plug in the regular power cable that comes with the laptop will it disable the thunderbolt port for charging?

I don't know Dell products but in my case the dock (HP USB-C G5) charges my machine too. My machine has SAME port like yours

SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)

Note: The USB-C port on your machine (& mine) is NOT a Thunderbolt™ 3 nor Thunderbolt™ 4 port.

Thanks.

@Banhien If it's not Thunderbolt 3 or 4 then what is it. It was definitely advertised as Thunderbolt 4

I'll contact vendor. What you see in the picture is what I ordered. When I put the serial number in the box on this web site that is the model it gave me. I got the serial number by hitting FN button and escape button on laptop per directions. Again I will validate with seller.

Thanks
