Spoiler

Hi, so my touchpad buttons stopped working. So got a replacement part for the buttons and replaced them. The new button board worked fine, however, now my mouse touchpad isn't working. Is there any help on this at all?

I understand how frustrating that can be, especially after putting in the effort to replace the button board and only having part of it work. It’s very possible the touchpad ribbon cable became loose or shifted during the repair, so I recommend reopening the system and carefully reseating the cable to ensure it is fully secured and not damaged. While testing, you can also check if the touchpad works in BIOS to help rule out a software or driver-related issue. Once back in Windows, confirm the touchpad is enabled in settings and visible in Device Manager, reinstalling the driver if needed. Please make sure the system is powered off and always disconnect the battery before removing or reseating any internal components to avoid accidental damage. If everything appears properly connected and it still does not respond, the touchpad assembly or cable itself may need to be replaced.
