Periodically when my laptop goes into screen saver and the screen locks the pointer dissappears and the touchpad becomes unresponsive. If I use the stick the pointer reappears and using it and a button I can click on menu items but the touchpad does not work. Looking at the settings page the touchpad is still enabled. I can turn it off then on still no response from the touchpad. Only a full restart will bring the touchpad back to life. This happens randomly not always but forces a reboot which is annoying. Any ideas I have updated drivers and the BIOS and it still continues to happen

disable the screen saver and then go to settings>update&security then troubleshooting in right hand side go to advanced troubleshooting>power> run the troubleshooting and check whether the issue persist or not
