Hey.
Im thinking of getting an HP Elitebook Ultra G1i.
I run a dual Boot setup on my current Laptop (Arch Linux and Windows) and would like to port this over to this new Laptop.
I saw online on reviews and community posts, that the Haptic Trackpad may be problematic on linux.

I saw a simmilar post about a different model (Hp OmniBook Ultra Flip 14) on this forum.
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Touchpad-not-working-on-Omnibook-Ultr...
But i cannot see weather a solution was found, because the messaging continuied priavteley.

I dont want to buy a laptop, which doesnt support any drivers for my trackpad.
On the following youtube review a reviewer installed ubuntu, and had the same problem.

Is there a way to get this trackpad working?
Kind Regards,
Luca

Short update,
The newest Linux kernel fully supports the haptic Trackpad on the EliteBook Ultra G1i.
I was able to install Arch Linux, on the device and was surprised how much worked out of the box without additional Linux-drivers. (The touchscreen works too)
The haptic clicks, as well as gestures work perfectly.
Its really nice to see HP using industry standard trackpad protocols (Its a Sensel trackpad).
