I just bought a new one of these laptops - a3363, I have a USB-C dock in my office and I cannot get either power or video to work. Even if I plug a 65W USB-C PSU direct to the port, it does not recognized, and the HDMI monitor is not seen at all through the dock. USB3 and RJ45 ports all work OK through the hub (RCA C116, fwiw).
I'm starting to wonder if they do not support these functions and I'm wasting my time trying to troubleshoot it, but I can't find any definitive statement from HP as to what their USB-C port should support on this machine.
Anyone know? Or have any ideas to make it work (i've tried various tricks others have listed like a 20sec power button reset, disabling USB 3.1 power saving but nothing works)
Thanks!

What is your 15-dw3000 machine ? It should have same ports as the following machine
It ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
