I have the same problem with a 445g11 and the HP Dock G5 docking station.
Version 1.0.22 works with all hardware types.
Versions 1.0.23 and 1.0.24 do not work with a 445g11 (latest BIOS installed).
I opened a ticket with HP to report the bug, as it's documented on the HP website for this laptop model.
Support's response: it's an incompatibility problem since the same game has the same problem.
In the meantime, they've fixed it on their website.
They've updated the 445g11 drivers page to G5 dock firmware version 1.0.22.0.

They are aware of the bug, we just have to wait for version 1.0.25.0 🙄

We are having similar issues with the Probook 445 G11 and the G5 Dock. We discovered the issue started happening with the version 1.0.23 (1.0.24 too) and have reverted back to 1.0.22 for certain users. We also discovered that if we do not update the BIOS out of the box and it stays on version 1.01.03 or older, the laptop works fine with docks that have been updated. If you do update the BIOS and decide the downgrade it back to version 1.01.03, it will not fix the issue. I'm not exactly sure what the BIOS (and firmware) update affects but it doesn't get reversed with an older version.
This has been on going since at least March of this year and it's been a pain to deal with when it affects a remote user. We're not expecting them to have an intel-based machine lying around to run the downgrade of the dock firmware.

How were you able to contact HP support about this issue? I tried the chat support but they said they are unable to assist because they only handle hardware warranty replacement. I'd like to try to get a ticket open as well to get some more visibility on this problem.

Good question, I think i had the same issue at first no one knew what to do since its both a laptop and dock issue but they are are under different umbrellas.
It looks like i did it through the business support: https://mycrm.support.hp.com/en-US/my-cases

Hi everyone,
i'm currently having a problem with an HP Probook 465 G11 and the G5 docking station: The two 24" HP monitors aren't being recognized, but everything else works fine. The device is running the latest firmware and Software versions. The docking station is also running the latest firmware version 1.0.25. Downgrading to 1.0.22 unfortunately didn't improve things. Why can't HP fix this problem, which has been going on for so long? In the meantime, I've now got myself an HP Thunderbolt 4 G6, which worked right away. Does HP want to sell people new docking stations here?

Hello, thanks for the info...I'll test it out when I get a chance. The Thunderdock I'm currently using, which works without issues, uses the same 120-watt power supply as the USB-C Dock G5...it's kind of weird.
